With sauna master Katie Bracher & herbalist Alice Betony
A woodland day retreat in Sussex
Join us for a women’s workshop dedicated to the nourishing arts of herbal medicine and bathing with nature..
Held in our wild woodland spa, this is a day to reconnect with the healing plants around us, learn practical herbal skills aimed at winter wellbeing and experience the ancient ritual of sauna in sisterhood.
Together, we’ll gather around the fire, share nourishing wild food and medicinal broths and immerse ourselves in the sensory richness of the season — both internally and externally.
What’s Included:
Nourishing wild food - nettle pesto, ground ivy tapenade, Medicinal mushroom chai or broth, Dandelion root coffee
Herbal potions workshop – Blend your own potent elixir using dried herbs and flowers, guided by Alice’s deep knowledge of plant medicine. You can focus your tonic on the immune system, digestive system or nervous system.
Herbal bathing and steam rituals – Learn the foundational skills of herbal sauna and participate in a guided sauna session with Katie, connecting deeply to nature, body and breath.
Women’s space – A day held just for women, femmes & thems, for gentle sharing, hands-on learning and collective care.
Whether you are new to herbalism or sauna ritual or already walk a plant path or are an avid sauna goer, this is a chance to saturate yourself — in knowledge, community, and in the living medicine of the land.
Come curious. Leave nourished.

Alice Bio
I'm a Sussex-born herbalist, now rooted at Wowo Campsite – a place woven into my childhood and my daily life. Trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, I hold diplomas in Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy, with over 500 hours of clinical practice. I bring both medical understanding and traditional wisdom to my work, supporting others with care and clarity. I grow and gather herbs from the land around me as well as tending my herbal garden. Becoming a herbalist has been a way to live in service to my community, close to the earth and the plants that heal. I’m grateful every day for the medicine that grows around us, and I’m honoured to share that with you.
